Rouxbe Inks Deal with Microsoft to Provide Cooking Technique Videos for the Bing Food and Drink App Release

Rouxbe Online Cooking School is pleased to announce that it has signed a content partnership deal with Microsoft Corporation to be one of its culinary video launch partners for the Bing Food & Drink App. Launched yesterday, Windows 8.1 consumers will now be able to go to cooking school to learn new culinary techniques from the comfort of their very own home, anytime of the day.

As part of the partnership, Rouxbe has translated 160 of its culinary technique videos into 16 different languages. An additional 200 English instructional videos are included as part of the Bing Food & Drink App for Windows 8.1 users. The app is pre-installed on all devices with 8.1, and is a also a free upgrade for existing Windows 8 users. This new upgrade features a unique hands-free mode so that you don’t even have to touch the screen when reading a recipe.

This is the second time that a major technology company has chosen Rouxbe as the premier showcase launch partner. Back in 2010, Apple selected Rouxbe (the only cooking site) alongside 30 other premium sites for its iPad-Ready site showcase for the initial release of the iPad.
